v1.0 — Launch

Sterling's first real release. The full butler experience, polished for non-developers, code-signed and trusted by Windows.

Sterling v1 includes:

• •One-click installer for Windows, code-signed by Arch Capital
• •Voice-first interaction via Ctrl+Alt+Space hotkey from any application
• •82 built-in tools covering calendar, email, files, browser, music, web, code execution, scheduling, and more
• •Persistent memory stored as plain markdown files you can open, edit, and back up yourself
• •Tier-matched brain models: Lite, Standard, Pro, and Elite
• •Adaptive inference: Sterling steps aside when you launch a game or other GPU-heavy application, then returns at full strength when your hardware is free
• •Auto-start at Windows login with a personal greeting based on time of day
• •Memory continuity: Sterling remembers where your last conversation left off and offers to resume when you log back in
• •System tray with live state indicator (gold when listening, gray when muted)
• •Local privacy by architecture, not by promise — verifiable by inspecting the markdown memory files yourself
• •Sterling accounts at mysterling.ai with secure license management
• •14-day refund window, no questions asked

Founder pricing — for early customers only

Sterling is in its launch window. Forever tier prices are heavily discounted from their regular rate as a thank-you to early customers. When Sterling v1.2 ships, Forever prices return to their regular level (the equivalent of 3 years of subscription, paid once).

Subscriptions started during this window are locked in at today's rate for as long as the subscription stays active.

Founders also receive a hand-written thank-you card and a permanent founder badge inside Sterling.

v1.1 — Free update for all customers

About four to six weeks after launch. Included free for everyone who bought v1.0, regardless of tier.

• •Sterling Personality update: a refined butler voice with deeper character, shipped as a free brain enhancement
• •Local file indexing: Sterling learns the contents of your files, not just their names. Ask Sterling to find that PDF about taxes from last year and Sterling actually finds it
• •Memory Vault: a built-in browser for everything Sterling remembers about you, with search, editing, and version history

v1.5 — The big upgrade

Several months after launch. Existing customers receive most of this for free.

• •Sterling for Mac: same butler, same brand, native Mac application
• •Sterling Companion for iPhone: control your Sterling PC from anywhere, securely, over your own network
• •Self-writing tools: ask Sterling to learn a new capability and Sterling researches the documentation, builds the tool, and adds it to itself
• •Sterling Tool Exchange: opt-in sharing of community-built tools, polished and audited by Arch Capital, then shipped to every Sterling customer in regular updates
• •Custom routines and workflows you can build without writing any code

v2.0 — Sterling sees

Six to twelve months after launch. Pro and Elite tier exclusive.

• •Computer use: Sterling watches your screen and takes actions for you across any application
• •Vision during games: even when your GPU is busy with another application, Sterling can glance at the screen and answer questions about what is happening
• •Multi-step workflows that span dozens of applications

A note on dates

These are honest intentions, not corporate roadmaps. Sterling is built by one person, and one person ships features when they are ready, not when a marketing team says they should be. Buying Sterling v1 means buying Sterling as it is today, plus everything in v1.1 for free, plus a permanent place in line for v1.5 and v2.0 at your current tier's price (or free for Forever buyers, in line with the Forever promise).

No advertising will ever appear in Sterling. No customer data will ever be used to train an AI model. These are not roadmap items. They are permanent commitments built into the Privacy Policy and they cannot be revoked.
